Privacy Policy for polecatplugins.com

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Who we are

This site is run by Digital Pragmatics, a sole trader, which is responsible for your information. Contact: info@digitalpragmatics.net. Purchases, accounts and the forum are on our shop, which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect and why

  • Server logs. Our host records each request to the site, including your IP address, browser details, the page and the time, so that we can run the site and keep it secure. This includes Check For Updates in Polecat Blur, which sends nothing that identifies you. Basis: our legitimate interests. Kept for our host’s standard period.
  • Downloads. When you download Polecat Blur we record a scrambled form of your IP address, your browser details, the file and the time, so that we can count downloads and spot misuse. Basis: our legitimate interests. Kept for 12 months.
  • Visitor statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits, without cookies, so that we can improve the site. Basis: our legitimate interests. You can turn it off below.
  • Google Ads measurement. Only if you accept it in the cookie panel: Google Ads cookies tell us which advert brought you here and whether you then downloaded the trial. It is not used for personalised advertising. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time below.
  • Emails. If you email us, we use your address and message to reply. Basis: our legitimate interests, or our contract with you when it is about support. Kept for two years after our last exchange, or six years for purchases, tax or legal matters.

Who receives it

Hostinger hosts the site and our email (in France and Germany, with its network delivering pages from servers near you), and Cloudflare provides the visitor statistics. If you accept Google Ads measurement, Google receives the information described above and uses it under its own privacy policy. Some of this may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States, under the UK’s approved safeguards (the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses). We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information or make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and browser storage

Your choices on this page are remembered in your browser (polecat_ad_consent and polecat_statistics_off). If you accept Google Ads measurement, Google Ads stores _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and _gcl_ls on this site for up to 90 days, and Google may set its own cookies on google.com and doubleclick.net. Nothing is sent to Google unless you accept.
